BAND MEMBER BIO'S

Paul Ross - Band Leader
Founder and Sax player with the Kadillacs since 1985. A graduate of and former professor at Manhattan School of Music, he came to Nashville from NYC as a free-lance musician and soon thereafter opened a corporate event planning company. After 11 years, he decided to go into something profitable and began a career in real estate. Luckily this has been successful, so he can continue to perform as a musician and bandleader. Paul recently won the lottery, and proclaimed: "I'll continue to lead a band until I run out of money." He recently negotiated a sponsorship from "Just for Men" hair products. It's not easy keeping hair that perfectly gray.

John England - Guitar and Vocals
Guitar & vocals with the Kadillacs since 1997. John is a busy free-lance guitarist in Nashville in addition to leading his own successful western swing band. He's the only guy we know that can convincingly play Jimi Hendrix' "Star Spangled Banner," and sing a Willie Nelson tune in the same set. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in History, but still occasionally speaks in double negatives.

Jeff Jansky - Lead Trumpet
Lead trumpet with the Kadillacs since 1986; graduated from Middle TN State University with a Masters degree in Music. The Kadillacs are proud to have helped support Jeff while he studied for his Nursing degree. Jeff has been "fixing broken hearts" in the St. Thomas Hospital cardiac operating room since 1998. He has been a nationally ranked Disc Golf (Frisbee to us "consumers") competitor, and continues to play in championships across the entire nation.

Chris McCormick - Jazz Trumpet
Jazz trumpet with the Kadillacs since 1999.Chris is Professor of Music and Director of Jazz at Tennessee Tech. University in Cookeville TN, an avid trout fisherman, and proud father of two beautiful girls. Oh yeah""GO Buckeyes!"

(Wild) Bill Huber - Trombone
Trombone with the Kadillacs since 1987.Our resident scholar, Bill has double degrees in Philosophy and Music from the University of Tennessee, and is the only member of the band that can (and will) quote Shakespeare and Aristotle in the same sentence. Bill is an active free-lance performer in the Nashville music scene, an avid "scratch" golfer, and an all around crazy guy.

Bobby Kent - Drums
The "other New Yorker," Bobby has played with the Kadillacs since 2001. After an active career as a free-lance drummer in NYC, Bobby moved to the "quieter" life in Nashville. We were fortunate to find and hire him immediately upon his arrival to Music City. Since coming here, Bobby has become licensed and has a successful private practice as an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor specializing in teen counseling.

Eric Stephens - Bass
Upright & electric bass with the Kadillacs since 2005. The newest member of the band, Eric is an accomplished bassist and tuba performer. A graduate of the University of Texas, Eric holds degrees in music business and tuba performance. He is currently Senior Analyst, Royalty Distribution and Research Services, at SESAC, an international music licensing organization. Eric continues to be very busy in the Nashville music scene, as well as being our resident music trivia geek.

Phil Rugh - Keyboards
Keyboards with the Kadillacs since 1985. He attended the University of South Florida as a Music and English major, and rarely speaks in double negatives. Phil has been a full time free-lance keyboard player as long as any of us can remember! He's not only an excellent, versatile keyboard player, but is considered to be one of the South's premier jazz organ players. Phil has been with the band since its inception"must be a slow learner.

Trenna Barnes - Vocals
Vocalist with the Kadillacs since 2002. Trenna gradated from Belmont University with a degree in Music, and has since gone on to fame and fortune. She is currently lead singer with Curb recording artists, "Cowboy Crush," yet still maintains her position with us whenever schedule allows. An experienced computer software instructor, we enjoy having her on the band, and especially solving our computer problems. She's known for programming strange ring tones on her cell phone.
